Michigan School Readiness Program

The program is based on the philosophy that learning through play will help your child become more creative in exploring the world around them and that the family is the most influential teacher.

We will raise your child’s ability to be ready for Kindergarten. In this program we will provide education, socialization, and services for children and families.

Students will be learning through play with opportunities, experiences, and activities that will provide them with feelings of success.

We will be providing opportunites for parents to gain new skills, share ideas, and be an active part of their child’s learning experience.

We look forward to spending the year with you and your child.

WELCOME to ROOM 101
I'd like to thank those parents and children who made it to our Open House on August 30th.  If you were unable to make the Open House and are still planning on being in the program, please call me at 591-6073 to schedule our Initial Home Visit.  We will be conducting them next week, Sept 6th, 7th and 8th.  They will last no longer than 45 minutes.  We look forward to working with you and your children.  If you ever have a question - feel free to call me at the number above (classroom phone) and I will get back with you as soon as possible.  Here's to a great year!
Sincerely,
Lisa England (Ms. Lisa)
First Day of School - September 12th
The first day of school tends to be an emotional one -  not just for the students, but parents as well.  If you choose to drop off your child on the first day of school rather than ride the bus, please keep in mind:  a quick hug and kiss good-bye is better than a long, drawn out farewell.  Yes, your child will probably cry and hold on to you for dear life, but this usually does not last for more than a few minutes.  The more you show your child that you trust his/her teacher to keep them safe in your absence the better.  You are free to call us in the classroom (591-6073) to check up on them once you are home.  This will ensure a smooth transition for your child to school.
